Frequently Asked Questions

How does automated reconciliation work?

You select a bank account and import its statement. evo7 scores each bank line against unreconciled platform payments, journals, and invoices using a deterministic matching algorithm — not a black-box model. The highest-confidence match is highlighted (e.g. 98%) and you confirm or override.

What file formats does bank statement import support?

Standard CSV and OFX formats exported from most Indian bank net-banking portals.

What if no match is found?

You can manually search for a match or create a new journal entry directly from the unmatched bank line to record the transaction.

Can multiple bank accounts be reconciled separately?

Yes. Each bank account (savings, current, cash) is reconciled independently. The workspace shows per-account unreconciled transaction counts.

Does reconciliation affect the General Ledger?

Yes. Once confirmed, matched transactions update the ledger reconciliation status and the bank account's book balance.
